Plantapillar cages at Denver Botanical Garden.

Julie works at the Denver Botanic Garden. She was doing a children's garden as one of her projects. She included Plantapillars in her project to add a splash of color to an already brilliant design!

How do you store your support? We've been doing follow up checks on our products in the field and a customer that has used our products for three years reports that he never stores them inside even during the winter. After over two years in the ground the tomato supports showed no sign of rust or discoloration. (photo above)

"Our first year of gardening has gone well – some things will change next year, but we've been VERY pleased with the results of our first attempt. The tomato support have been amazing. My husband accidentally bought one extra tomato plant and he didn't want to take it back, so he planted it along the side of the house (pictured in the far right photo). We used a traditional cage from our local hardware store for that. Well, as you would expect, he's had to add about three stakes to it so far just to keep it from tipping. We haven't had to add a single thing to your Plantapillar supports (pictured in the left and center photos) – they are the BEST!

Michael from Topeka is using his vine trellis as a flower stand in his back yard again this summer. That's a 6081200T Vine Trellis being used as a plant stand. (2009)

Mitch in Doniphan, NE says:
"BTW, your supports worked out great last year. Not a single one of them blew over and that was even with me cheating a bit. I put the supports on every other plant and fed a couple of lines of rebar through them to support the every other plant that didn't have one of your tomato supports on them. So in essence your supports were supporting twice as many plants and still stood up like troopers without bending, breaking, or blowing over. Hence why I want more. They are well worth the money."

Michael has sent in photos of his new vine trellis. It's space saving design allows Michael to have cucumbers in his small backyard garden. July update: the cucumbers have climbed to the top.

Here's an idea that came from our Atchison Home and Garden show customers. The vegetable stands work nicely as plant holders. In the first photo an indoor plant is quickly held tight in the yard for some extra sun. In the second photo some yellow flowers look great with our green support. And finally three in a row. With the anchor pins pushed into the ground the pots are safe from wind and pets. Just lift and quickly move the plants to a new location for additional sun or to allow the mower to pass by. Shown in the group photo are : (2 Ring 6021200 Yellow, 3 Ring 6031275 Red and an Orange 6041350).

Hey what's an extender doing holding a plant? Well it turns out that our Extenders do a great job as plant holders on hard surfaces. Use regular support as plant holders in your yard and insert the anchor rods in the sod. But on brick and hard surfaces an Extender works great.

Carol from Littleton, CO sent us this photo of her yellow 6021200 (vegetable support) with a 12" basket.

Our customers in Topeka suggested this at the farmer's market and so I tried it at home (photo on left). A great way to contain and show off your flowers. That's a 6081200T Vine Trellis as a plant stand. Michael (one of the authors of this idea) ordered a yellow trellis (6071200T) and set up his flowers on the side of his house (right photo).

From the Plantapillar test garden which is home to our largest tomato support called 'Goliath'. This cage has 11 rings and stand 90 inches tall (7 1/2 feet) and it's a great test of the strength of the Plantapillar cage design. It's currently free standing, supported only by it's six 18 inch anchor rods driven fully into the garden.
